The Company Founded in ’12, HI-FOOD is a growing Italian developer and producer of innovative plant-based, natural and clean label functional ingredients for the food industry. Its proprietary ingredients are produced in Italy with fully traceable raw materials and distributed internationally. HI-FOOD serves a wide range of sectors such as conventional bakery, gluten-free and free-from, gastronomy, sauces, fillings, dessert, ice cream, beverages and plant-based meat analogues and dairy alternatives. Today the company is based inside the Science Park of the University of Parma (Italy) and is currently building its new headquarter, a state-of-the-art manufacturing and R&D factory (5000sqm), including proprietary application pilot plants dedicated to different food technologies, opening in Q1 ‘21. Job Title Sales & Business Development Tasks and Activities -Grow HI-FOOD revenues by increasing current clients’ sales and by actively generating new leads, both in terms of potential clients and markets. - Track the projects pipeline, setting priorities among leads and defining the budget accordingly; - Manage distributors relationships, supporting their activities and monitoring their performances, also through quarterly business reviews; - Organize training sessions (with R&D department) for distributors and selected clients; - Identify the necessary sales material, such as teasers, case studies and videos for each product or relevant application and contribute to their preparation in coordination with Marketing and with the technical support of the R&D team; - Coordinate technical development projects between the R&D team and clients, including multi-nationals, from product approval to commercialization; - Solid technical support to clients and distributors is required during the sales process. In this context, a constant interaction with the R&D team is a key aspect of the role; - Travel on a weekly basis, mainly throughout Europe; - Reporting to the CEO and coordinating with the R&D Officer. Personal Profile - Technical sales skills in the food ingredients industry. Experience in mold inhibitors, vegetable fibers, functional blends, sugar replacer, bakery, industrial gastronomy or plantbased alternative ingredients is a plus; - Project Management skills, necessary to coordinate technical development projects efficiently; - Communication skills, helpful in negotiations and in aligning the team to achieve the objectives; - Knowledge of English language is a must.
